Aranza Bergés Navarrete is a Mexican artist born and raised in Mexico City, currently working in Vancouver on the unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. She studied 2D Experimental Animation at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, with a focus on storytelling and experimental approaches. Her work often explores themes of womanhood, evolution, and acceptance. She has worked as a production assistant and storyboard artist for the short film The Palace by Lauren Marsden. Her first student film, Have You Seen Me?—an animated short about missing and murdered women in Mexico—is currently screening on the film festival circuit.
